Membership Contests include a Smedley Award in August/September, a Talk-Up Toastmasters! Contest
in February/March, and a Beat the Clock Campaign in May/June. There are also additional incentives and awards for members
who sponsor five or more new members in a Toastmaster Year.

Each year District 38 offers its own distinctive incentive programs in addition to those offered by Toastmasters International.
This year we are happy to offer the following programs and encourage all clubs and members to take full advantage of them.

NEW February and March 2012 are
"Love Your Club" Open House Month
WHAT WILL YOU NEED? When you hold an Open House, District 38 will provide you with the OPEN HOUSE TOOL KIT 2 – almost everything you need to hold an effective open house! We can’t provide you with enthusiasm, that’s up to you.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? All Clubs hosting an OPEN HOUSE must post the open house on the District 38 website (calendar@tmdistrict38.org) to receive:
An OPEN HOUSE TOOL KIT 2. The OPEN HOUSE TOOL KIT 2 may include, but is not limited to:
- marketing materials featuring the new Toastmasters branding
- a guide to holding an effective OPEN HOUSE
- guest packets
- and other information which you can use to publicize your OPEN HOUSE.
***SPECIAL OFFER*** All District 38 Clubs who hold an OPEN HOUSE during this time, post the OPEN HOUSE on the District 38 website AND achieve the Talk Up Toastmasters! Award will receive a Chat Pack ($8) and a Special Thank You gift from the LGM.

Triple Crown Club Award
We didn't forget the clubs either. Your club can earn free modules of your choice from the Better Speaker Series,Successful Club Series or Leadership Excellence Series. All you need to do is meet 3 DCP Goals (#1, #3, #5) by March 31, 2012 on your way to becoming a Distinguished Club. See the flyer for additional detail

FOR DIVISIONS, AREAS, and CLUBS

NEW Rising Star Club Award
We didn't forget the Divisions, Areas, and Clubs either. To Qualify: Area Governors must finish Select Distinguished or better All Area Visits must be complete and submitted to Toastmasters by:First round --- August 31, 2011 Second Round --- February 28, 2012. Area Visit reports must be completely filled in - no blanks. Division Governors must finish Select Distinguished or better Identify and/or help charter at least one new club in your Division [one additional paid club necessary to attain Presidents Distinguished].Governors earn a pin and certificate. All clubs w/all 7 officers trained both times get a special ribbon for their banner
