Getting Prepared for the Speech Contest Season

Did you know that District 38 is holding the International Speech and Evaluation Contests this year, both online? Is your club prepared to hold both contests? Join District 38 Contest Advisor and Area E54 Director Joshua D. Smith, DTM as he walks through the basics of contest planning and provides tips and tricks for planning for your contest in an online format. A question & answer session will be included.

Club Management Systems (Free ToastHost & easySpeak)

A club management system can facilitate managing club affairs such as membership, online presence, dues management, meeting planning and communication. Yet, more than 25% of District 38 Toastmasters clubs are not using a club management system.

In this session, clubs will have the opportunity to compare and contrast the benefits of the two FREE club management systems offered by Toastmasters.

Arthur Farnsworth, DTM will explain the Free ToastHost system, its benefits, how to obtain it and how to effectively use it to facilitate club management.

Sheila Erespe, DTM will explain the easySpeak system, its benefits, how it differs from Free ToastHost, and how to effectively use it for club management.

Opportunities & Benefits of Toastmasters Leadership - Panel Discussion

Are you considering serving in a Toastmasters leadership position to develop or hone your leadership skills? In this session, learn how you can benefit from the Toastmasters Leadership Program.

Join District 38 Toastmaster of the Year 2020-2021 Anne Golden, DTM as she moderates a panel of Toastmasters leaders. Charles Gates, DTM (Past Region 7 Advisor), Basha McCrumb, DTM (Immediate Past District 38 Director), Meg Fosco, DTM (Division H Director) and Leslie Crudup (Area H81 Director) will share their experiences serving in leadership roles in Toastmasters. Discover how they felt when called to serve- Were they ready? Were they apprehensive about the responsibility? How did they benefit personally and professionally from serving in a Toastmasters leadership role(s)?
